Currently, there are only 3 companies producing spark plugs in Indonesia, namely PT Nippodenso Indonesia Inc., PT NGK Busi Indonesia, and PT Lippo Industries. Their respective installed production capacities are 14 million units (PT Nippodenso Indonesia Inc.), 14 million units (PT NGK Busi Indonesia), and 9 million units (PT Lippo Industries).
In 1986, the actual production of the three companies was registered at 14,180 thousand units; this figure rose to 25,772 thousand units in 1987.
