PT Semen Padang is one of the 5 cement plants directly managed by the government under the BUMN (state enterprise) scheme. The other four are PT Semen Tonasa, PT Semen Baturaja, PT Semen Kupang, and PT Semen Gresik, the production capacity of PT Semen Padang currently stands at 2.13 million tons per annum. This production capacity is shared by its 4 production units, i.e. Unit Indarung I, Unit Indarung II, Unit Indarung IIIA, and Unit Indarung IIIB.
