SHORE AND WATERWAY PROTECTION SOUGHT
WASHINGTON, April 10 -- The New Jersey Maritime Advisory Council in testimony before a federal subcommittee on energy and water development today recommended Congress appropriate an additional $40.3 million to fund eight New Jersey dredging and shore protection projects.
Under the federal FY 87 budget recommendations, $51 million would be set aside for 14 different projects, including dredging work at the Kill Van Kull, Barnegat Inlet, the Port of Salem and the Delware River channel.
