BASEL, Switzerland, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Ciba-Geigy Ltd. announced today that it has reached an agreement in principle with Nestle S.A. and Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. to acquire Alcon's contact lens businesses in Europe and North America subject to government approval where required.
Alcon is a pharmaceutical company, owned by Nestle S.A., based in Fort Worth, Texas. Alcon's prime product line focus has been in the areas of ophthalmic medicines, surgical products for ophthalmology, and contact lens care solutions.
