LONDON, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sir Richard Storey and Robert Maxwell were elected directors of Reuters Holdings plc (NASDAQ: RTRSY) at the company's Annual General Meeting today, Reuters announced.

Sir Richard, 49, has been chairman and chief executive of Portsmouth and Sunderland Newspapers plc since 1973. He joined the newspaper group, which was founded by his great grandfather, in 1962. A practicing barrister from 1962 until 1969, Sir Richard is now a member of the Newspaper Society Council and has been a member of the Press Council since 1980. He is a director of News (UK) Ltd and a director of Croydon Cable Television Ltd.
