West German fair in NY draws little traffic
The mood was quiet Tuesday at the first West German Fashion Fair at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel here.
The exhibition, which opened Sunday and runs through noon on Thursday, highlights collections from 20 West German ready-to-wear, sportswear, leather and suede and accessories companies. So far the show has been lightly attened, primarily since it is being held during one of the busiest show weeks in this city.
Many of the West German companies are showing their lines in the U.S. for the first time, and seem to be making the best of the situation. Although orders weren't forthcoming, some of the executives ...
