NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- TWA's striking flight attendant union, the Independent Federation of Flight Attendants (IFFA), announced today that it made an unconditional offer to immediately return all striking employees to work.
The union's action, taken at 10 p.m. Saturday, May 17, was described by IFFA President Vicki Frankovich as a "bold stroke designed to minimize the economic effects on our membership and to take away TWA's continuing threat to replace the work force with lower paid 19-year-old new hires.
