The Ministry of Chemical Industry has been paying great attention to the development of agrochemicals.
In the past 10 years, 37% of the industry's total investment was spent on the projects for chemical fertilizers, including the construction of chemical mines.
During the 7th Five-Year Plan period, a total of 415 million tonnes of chemical fertilizers and 964 200 tonnes of pesticides were turned out in the chemical industry system. Now, China ranks the third in world chemical fertilizers and pesticides production.
