Zinc oxide reports further falls in 1992

Zinc oxide saw a worsening of the declining market in 1992 with the price sliding. The main factors resulted in the sluggish market are as follows: 1. Oversupply of tyre and rubber products which results in slow selling and inventory pile-up of the products. Too many small-scale plants acquired capacities which are beyond the State plan and these small-scale plants in turn exerted an impact on the enterprises under State plan; 2. The ever lower export price in 1992 and the issuance of new foreign trade policies resulted in a dumping of a large amount of zinc oxide on the domestic market instead of going abroad; ...
