Ellis lines expected to continue

Because the death of Perry Ellis was not unexpected, the late designer, his business associates and licensees had ample time to prepare for how his businesses would carry on, according to several Ellis associates.

Ellis, 46, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday in New York Hospital. The cause of death was given as viral encephalities.
