The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Denver has issued a complaint charging Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation, the US metal smelting company, with 217 counts of mismanagement of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) at the company's smelter, refinery, Magna concentrator, Bonneville Plant and Bingham Canyon mine. The Agency is seeking $1.13 million for the alleged violations.
