Indonesia's trade surplus with the US has continued to decrease for the past three years. Indonesia is even estimated to have had a trade deficit with the US in 1991. The decreasing amount of Indonesia's trade surplus with the US has been caused by the fact that the growth of Indonesia's exports to the US has been slower than that of its imports from the country.
