Eiko and Koma--Eiko's the woman of the team--are usually reviewed by dance writers, although what they do is closer to silent acting. It could even be considered a form of clowning, an extreme version of Pierrot and Pierrette. Whatever you call it, it's fine art: sensuous and sensible and full of suspense, although to appreciate the last you must become accustomed to the dancers' pace of a step every ten seconds.
