A useful compilation of practical composite technology in the form of 19 case studies assembled by Professor A. Brent Strong from Brigham Young University in the USA, has been published. Upon first sight of Composites in manufacturing: case studies, published by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the reader may be disappointed as it becomes clear that the case studies are not restricted to manufacturing as such, but embrace design, repair, material forms and applications.
