THE WINSTON-SALEM JOURNAL IS WORKING with Atex and triple-I to overhaul its prepress systems and begin fully paginating most sections of the paper by 1993. "It sure as hell is a big project for us," says special projects manager Jack Trawick, who's been heading up the effort since last year, when the paper began upgrading its Atex front-end. An Atex user since 1981, the Journal needed to improve the system so it could run current releases of Atex software, Trawick says.
