The free zone authority for Qeshm island is said to be offering plant gas at 10 percent of the international price. This is the lowest in the world, by far cheaper than anything on offer along the Arab side of the Gulf. The only place where incentives compare favourably is Jubail, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
This Iranian price was offered by an official not ideally connected with management at the Oil Ministry and NIOC in Tehran. So on double-checking done by APS, potential investors in the Qeshm free zone are best advised to consult with the man in charge.
