VASTERAS, Sweden, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Finnish company Kymmene-Stromberg Ab has signed an agreement with the Swedish ASEA Group (NASDAQ: ASEAY) under which ASEA AB is to acquire the Stromberg Group.
The merger covers all the business segments and foreign subsidiaries of the Stromberg Group, with the exception of the Thermal Products division and its production facilities in Salo, Kauhajoki, Heinola and Lovisa. The acquisition is subject to approval of the Finnish and Swedish authorities as well as negotiations with, and information to, the personnel organizations according to the co-determination legislation in the two countries.
