The privatization of the Jakarta Stock Exchange, which had been long awaited by share issuers, finally became a reality following the announcement in early April of Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 323/KMK.013/1992, which allows PT Bursa Efek Jakarta (PT BEJ) to manage share trading on the stock exchange.
With the hand-over of the management of the Jakarta Stock Exchange from the Capital Market Supervisory Board (Bapepam) to PT BEJ, the board of directors of the latter effected three new rulings on listing, share trading, and membership to replace the three previously-revoked rulings of the Minister of Finance concerning the rules of the game on share trading on ...
