Bernard Chaus and wife net over $71M on stock sale
NEW YORK (FNS) -- Bernard Chaus and his wife, Josephine, netted a total of $71,775,000 on their sale of 4,500,000 shares of Bernard Chaus, Inc., stock to the public last week.
The stock cost them an average 10 cents a share or a total of $450,000, according to the final prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
As the stock went public on Wednesday, the offering price was $17 a share and the underwriting disocunt was $1.05 a share.
The market received the issue enthusiastically and ran the price as high as 25-5/8 on the New York Stock Exchange. The low in the ...
