Frontier Oil Aims High With Plans To Revive Former Husky Refinery There's a new kid on the block in the Eastern Slope gasoline dumping ground in the Rocky Mountains.
That's where the Chase Pipeline unloads surplus products it gathers in the "Group" refinery patch on the Great Plains. The name of the newcomer is Frontier Oil and Refining Co., new owner of the former Husky Oil Co. refinery in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Frontier bought the semi-dormant 35,000-b/d plant from Flying J, independent refiner/marketer based in Brigham City, Utah, which acquired it in December 1985 from RMT Properties Inc. [NPN--Feb. '86, p35], a company set up by Husky Oil Ltd. of Canada to ...
