Government of Honduras Trade Statistics for Calendar 1991 reveal the country's merchandise trade balance worsened by $33.8 million, from $21.9 million in 1990 to $55.7 million in 1991, according to a recent report from the American Embassy-Tegucigalpa. These results reflect a 4.71% decline in merchandise exports, from $847.8 million in 1990 to $807.9 million in 1991, as a result of lower world prices for coffee and bananas, Honduras' two main export commodities.
