Article: Porr buys Hungarian hazwaste company

The Austrian civil engineering Group, Allgemeine Baugesellschaft - A. Porr, has acquired control of the Hungarian hazardous waste treatment and disposal firm, PYRUS (PYRUS Koernyezetvedo Szolgaltato Kft.), through the acquisition of a majority shareholding of 77% in its parent company, FOELDGEP Rt., the formerly state-owned civil engineering firm (see HAZNEWS, November 1992, pp. 16-18). According to Austrian Equity, Porr paid about Sch88 million ($7.6 million) for its shareholding in FOELDGEP.
