The domestic demand for sulfuric acid has continued to increase. This is reflected by the fact that Indonesia's sulfuric acid production has been rising from year to year. The largest sulfuric acid producer operating in Indonesia is currently PT Petrokimia Gresik, which is located in East Java.
Most of locally produced sulfuric acid is used as a basic material for sulfuric aluminum, ABS, and TSP. The rest is used as an auxiliary material for the production of metal products, batteries, textile, and paper.
