Article: EIB/PORTUGAL: 125.6 MILLION ECUS LENT FOR ENERGY-RELATED PROJECTS

Summary:

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing four loans totalling 22.7 billion Escudos (125.6 million Ecus) in support of energy-related projects in Portugal. The loan agreements were signed in Lisbon on June 22 by EIB Vice-President Jose de Oliveira Costa. Together with other road infrastructure and industry loans signed on the same day, these agreements bring total EIB lending in Portugal this year to 136.6 billion Escudos (727 mEcus).
