Backflips' staragazing swimwear
Backflips, which last year brought the junior swimwear market Garfield, The Jetsons and The Flintstones, has landed the rights to Marilyn Monroe for a swimwear and coverup line.
The deal was made through the Roger Richman Agency, Inc., in Beverly Hills, which handles the late actress' estate.
According to Bruce Waldman, vice president of Backflips, which is a division of Mainstream, a domestic swimwear company, he signed a one-year agreement with automatic renewal based on a percentage of sales. Waldman noted that royalty payments are 7 percent of sales, and he expects to generate $500,000 in wholesale volume ...
