CHICAGO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- For the 11th consecutive day, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) achieved an open interest record for combined futures and options contracts.
A total of 1,289,269 contracts remained in open interest at the CME at the close of trading on Sept. 2, exceeding the previous day's record of 1,277,328 contracts.
Open interest in the CME Eurodollar futures last week captured the lead for any futures contract on any exchange, with the highest open interest. Setting a fifth consecutive daily record, open interest in Eurodollar futures rose to 208,423 contracts on Sept.2 , breaking the previous day's record of 203,503.
