Article: Qinghai Potassic Fertilizer Factory's 10 000 t/a Refined Potassium Chloride Plant Put into Operation

The 10 000 t/a refined potassium chloride plant developed by Qinghai Potassium Chloride Factory was recently put into formal operation after completing pilot plant test and trial production, and has turned out 1 000 tons of qualified products. It is reported as the first plant producing refined potassium chloride in China.

Refined potassium chloride is chiefly used for the production of potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate by the ion membrane process, and for the pharmaceutical industry both requiring high purity raw material.
