Article: Ceramic membranes could improve conversion of methane to synthesis gas

A project to develop a technology to improve the conversion of methane, the main component of natural gas, into synthesis gas (syngas) has been announced by Amoco Corp and the US Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory. The project will combine Argonne's expertise in ceramics with Amoco's experience in catalysts.
