Indonesia's wheat flour production seems difficult to increase further because the wheat flour industry has been operating at full capacity. However, the demand for wheat flour has continued to increase rapidly with the growth of processed food industries such as instant noodle, biscuits, and bread, all of which use wheat flour as the main basic material. In a bid to reduce people's dependency on rice, the Government has been encouraging staple food diversification to include food made of wheat flour.
