OPINION: A hot-blooded hosanna to the buoyant bustle from Venezuela's very own Carolina.
NEWS: Crinolines, poufs, removable bustles and taffeta make the scene in a salute to the madcap spirit of spring; the little back dress is sweet and shapely, with sweetheart and scalloped necklines; strong-shoulder daytime suits are familiar, but little flippy skirts add a note of newness for day.
FABRICS: Wool gabardine; double-faced wool; silk crepe; cotton jacquard, poplin and pique; linen; silk cloque, Gazar, taffeta and chiffon; reembroidered lace.
