With economic liberalisation moves gathering pace in India and Pakistan over the past two years, Abu Dhabi has been evaluating investment opportunities in the subcontinent. Its interest reflects close economic links between the subcontinent and the UAE as a whole, where a large population of Pakistanis and Indians form the backbone of the expatriate workforce.
