Compared to what happened in 1993, the investor interest in the ceramic tile industry in 1994 is very high. For the first seven months (January-July) of 1994, as many as 9 ceramic tile projects were approved by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), comprising 4 new projects and 5 expansion ones. The total number of such projects approved by the BKPM in all of 1994 is expected to reach 15, which is the same as the number approved in 1991. In all of 1993, only 4 ceramic tile projects were approved by the BKPM.
The 9 ceramic tile projects approved in January-July 1994 require a combined investment commitment of Rp 452.36 billion and US$ 1.10 million. The total ...
