DALLAS, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Airlines and its wholly owned subsidiary, TranStar, flew a combined 700.8 million revenue passenger miles (RPM's) in October 1986, a 26.5 percent increase over the 554.1 million RPM's flown by the two carriers in October of last year.

Southwest's (only) October traffic was up 11.6 percent to 512.9 million RPM's, while TranStar (only) flew 187.9 million RPM's, a 98.5 percent increase over last year.

The combined load factor for the month was 63 percent, compared to the 58.4 percent figure of a year ago. Southwest's individual load factor was 59.7 percent for the month and TranStar's load factor was 74.2 ...
