Article: Indonesia's non-oil and gas trade in the Pacific Rim area

For Indonesia the aim of increasing the rate of economic growth within APEC could be achieved through the stimulation and the acceleration of non-oil and gas exports as has been the policy up to the present time. Thus it is easy for Indonesia to measure the benefit of APEC for herself by seeing whether her exports to APEC countries increase more rapidly and whether the balance of trade and the current accounts with these countries register an ever -greater surplus or a shrinking deficit?
