Sun International is spending nearly $1 million a day, with 1,500 construction workers on the job, at Atlantis, Paradise Island, the property it purchased in May, in preparation for a December 22 opening. "We are confident that with Atlantis, Paradise Island we will have a vacation destination that will equal any of our 33 resorts and 21 casinos around the world," said Sol Kerzner, Sun International's chairman.
