Small leather goods shifting into a year-round business
NEW YORK -- The small leather goods business traditionally has been done around the holidays and in other gift-giving seasons, but during the last year retailers have found the classification growing into a year-round business.
Most attribute the new-found business to products such as Liz Claiborne who brought color and newness into small leather goods. A spot check of retailers across the country shows that business is up as much as 60 percent in some stores.
