DES MOINES RESPONDS TO SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER AD
DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to a recent San Francisco Examiner advertisement which many in this city believed was a direct slap at Des Moines, a group of civic leaders today announced a counter effort to show Des Moines "as a growing and lively city with a quality of life that few others enjoy."
The Examiner recently ran a promotional ad that stated: "For a lot of people, the view in Des Moines is the same as the view in San Francisco," implying that the citizens of Des Moines had nothing better to do than watch television.
