Anglo-Dutch oil group ROYAL DUTCH/SHELL achieved a net profit of GBP 4.07 billion (USD US6.43 billion) for 1994, a rise of 35.7% over 1993's GBP 3 billion, calculated on a historic accounting basis, which takes into account fluctuations in the value of oil stocks, the group Board announced in The Hague on February 23. Net profit for the fourth quarter of 1994 came in at GBP 1.645 billion, an increase of 145% on the same period of 1993.
