Summary: The first Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is being staged in Berlin from March 28 until April 7 to put the commitments made in Rio de Janeiro in June 1992 in concrete form, including those regarding stabilisation of greenhouse gas emissions.
