Large-scale phosphate mining seems to have started gaining popularity among investors. After PT Elang Istanamas had commenced its operations in South Ciamis, West Java, another two companies--namely PT Girijaya Mukti and PT Kresna Duta Satria Utama (PT KDSU)--obtained permanent licenses from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to mine phosphate in, respectively, Sukabumi, West Java and Tuban, East Java.
