H.C. Starck GmbH, based in Goslar, Germany, has decided to drop plans to acquire the Austrian tungsten company, Wolfram-Bergbau und Httengesellschaft mbH (WBH), located in Bergia.
With the increase in sales volume through the acquisition of WBH, Starck says it saw an opportunity to intensify further its already substantial research and development activities in the field of intermediates for hardmetal applications.
