Roast your own coffee beans?
It's not for everyone. The idea of roasting your own coffee beans at home still gets hooted in some circles.
Authors of an "all-about-coffee' book (in 1976) didn't give the idea much credence, either. They conceded, "If you're a fierce do-it-yourselfer or summer exile in a forest lookout, you may want to give it a try. But don't say we didn't warn you.'
Still, someone in the kitchen is roasting.
