IN "The Ivory Foxhole' [NR, Nov. 7] Jeffrey Hart called attention to politically inspired lying on the part of academics and scientists who remained silent --or promulgated data they knew to be false--in the interest of a nuclear freeze, stopping SDI, or coming out right politically on the nature-nurture IQ controversy. The Fall issue of The National Interest contains an important article by Russell Seitz of Harvard's Center for International Affairs. Mr. Seitz uncovers another shocking scientific/academic scandal, this time perpetrated by those threatening us with the prospect of nuclear winter.
