NEW YORK, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Chief Consolidated Mining Company (NASDAQ: CFC) announced today that it has entered into a long term mining lease with Grand Central Mining Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Mining Corporation (U.S.A.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Mining Corporation Holdings Limited of Australia.

A chief spokesman stated that the mining lease covers 5000 acres of Chief's mining properties and related facilities located in the main Tintic Mining District of Utah.
