NEW YORK, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nomura Securities Co. Ltd., Tokyo, the world's largest securities firm, and Eastdil Realty, Inc., the New York-based real estate investment banking firm, and Babcock & Brown, Inc., an international investment banking firm associated with Nomura, announced today that Eastdil has been designated Nomura's real estate investment banking arm in the United States.

In addition, Nomura Babcock & Brown Real Estate, Inc., a company jointly owned by Nomura and Babcock & Brown, has acquired a 50 percent equity interest in Eastdil.
