The EU Internal Market Commissioner, Mario Monti, is due to propose - sometime during the coming month - a Communication to his Commission colleagues on the European Company Statute, in an effort to finally secure agreement on the draft Regulation and associated Directive and break a 25-year-old deadlock over plans to create a European Company established under Community, rather than national, law.
