'Iranblame'--a tiff among friends
It might be called "Iranblame"--anoften confusing effort by the White House to find an appropriate culprit to shoulder the responsibility for the debilitating scandal swirling around the Reagan administration. Two weeks ago, the whispering centered on Lt. Col. Oliver North, no longer "an American hero" but a "damned cowboy" and rogue staffer who misled his superiors. And once that ploy had run its course, the finger pointers found a newer and more convenient scapegoat: Israel.
