RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Glaxo Dermatology Products announces the availability of ACLOVATE(tm) (alclometasone dipropionate) Cream, 0.05 percent, and Ointment, 0.05 percent. Aclovate is a new non-fluorinated, low-to-mid potency topical corticosteroid for relief of inflammation and itching caused by dermatoses such as eczema and psoriasis.

According to Robert Vann, M.D., vice president for Medical Affairs at Glaxo, "Aclovate demonstrates the efficacy approaching that of a mid-potency topical corticosteroid while possessing the safety profile of 1.0 percent hydrocortisone."
