Among its non-associated gas fields in the north-east, the SPC has four producers: Jibeissah, Al Hol, Al Ghona and Marqada. Together, they have proven reserves of 34,885 MCM, according to an SPC study issued in 1993. It has several non-associated gas fields in the Palmyra region which have over 71,000 MCM of non-associated gas and 21 MCM of associated gas.
The Jibeissah field in the north-east is being expanded by 50 MCF to about 110 MCF/day. The main contractor for this is Industrialexport of Romania.
