NEW YORK, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Dream is clearly alive for the majority of Americans (86 percent), according to the most comprehensive survey of public attitudes toward The American Dream ever undertaken.

Despite reports of mounting economic pressures on real household income and the eroding family structure, virtually all Americans, regardless of race, income and occupation, are confident that they will attain, or at least come close to achieving, their American Dream.
